School, Its something we all go through. Some experiences are better than others. We all have to deal with it. Deal with socializing [insert face of disgust here], taking tests, and the "teachers" that think they are better than you because "[their]name is on the door, so you have to listen to [them]" I have a lot of those. Just because they think they are better than you, does not make them. Yes, they might be getting paid for this, and yes, their name is on the door, but they aren't any better than you.
Sometimes we forget that we, the students(or parents), are the reason they get paid. Without us they don't have a house, phone, car, or food. They seem to forget that too. The teachers treat you terribly. The disrespect you. They laugh at you. They play favorites. But that's okay because their name is on the door? It's not.
The disrespect is not what they get paid for. They get paid for teaching you, to help set you up for success. By doing that, the attitude, they are setting you up for failure. School in general gives you stress. It can even stress you out to a point of where you just can't deal with it anymore. I know when I become stressed, I get upset or angry and completely shut down.
Giving kids so much work to do doesn't help them. We already get enough pressure from life in general. The teachers might think that giving the students a project is "easier" than an assignment due the next day, it's not. We get homework almost every night. What makes it worse is that that teacher(the one who gave the project) can still assign you homework due the next day.
Is that fair? They way school is run, it isn't about the kids, or the future generation. It's about the money, the testing, the ranking that school gets. It's no longer fun. It's no longer enjoyable.
Some say, "school is a great place to make friends, meet people, expand on our socializing skills". I don't know if you've noticed, but I most definitely have. Kids aren't as social. They don't have as many friends. They can't meet new people. Kids aren't friendly. School isn't friendly.
At school, kids are bullied. They are being judged constantly. Nobody does anything about it. Mostly because they can't. Bullying is a serious matter that no one should look at kindly. It can lead to depression, self-harm, and in some cases suicide. "Well, they can escape that at home." No, they can't. Some, not all, but a good handful, are judged at home as well. On the internet, they can be bullied just as bad as in school.
In conclusion, school is a legal torture method.
